Cashback Terms

01 Overview

These Cashback Terms govern the Umang Bazaar cashback programme and any cashback offer run on umangbazaar.com. They apply in addition to our Terms of Service, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. Where a specific campaign has its own conditions shown on the offer page, those conditions apply along with these terms.

Cashback is a promotional benefit offered at our discretion. It is not a discount on the invoice value and does not change the price you are billed at checkout.

02 Who Can Earn

Cashback is available to registered customers aged 18 or above, shopping for personal use, with a valid Indian delivery address and a verified mobile number. You must be logged into your account when the order is placed — cashback cannot be added later to a guest order.

One person may hold only one cashback-earning account. Multiple accounts created using the same phone number, email, address or payment instrument may be merged or disqualified. Resellers, wholesale buyers and bulk orders are not eligible.

03 How Cashback Is Earned

Cashback is calculated as a percentage of the product value of a qualifying order, after all discounts and coupons are applied. Shipping charges, COD handling fees, gift wrapping and taxes are excluded from the calculation.

The rate and the maximum cashback per order are shown on the offer banner or product page — for example, [X]% cashback up to ₹[X] per order, on a minimum order value of ₹[X]. Unless stated otherwise, cashback is limited to [X] qualifying orders per customer per campaign.

04 Qualifying Orders

An order qualifies if it is placed during the campaign period, meets the stated minimum value, includes at least one eligible product, and is successfully delivered and accepted by you.

Orders that are cancelled, refused at the door, returned to origin, or placed on excluded products are not eligible. Unless the offer states otherwise, cashback applies to prepaid orders only; Cash on Delivery orders may be excluded or may earn at a lower rate as specified in the offer.

05 When It Is Credited

Cashback is credited to your Umang Bazaar account after the return window on your order has closed — usually within [X] days of delivery. This waiting period exists so that cashback is not released on orders that are later returned.

You will be notified by email, SMS or WhatsApp once it is credited, and the balance will be visible in your account. If a qualifying order has not been credited within the stated period, please contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number.

06 Balance & Validity

Cashback is held as store credit in your Umang Bazaar account and is valid for [X] days from the date it is credited. Any unused balance expires automatically at the end of that period and cannot be reinstated or extended.

Cashback is personal to your account. It cannot be transferred to another customer, sold, gifted, merged with another account, or withdrawn to a bank account, UPI ID or card.

07 How to Redeem

To redeem, log into your account, add eligible items to your cart and apply your available cashback balance at checkout. It will be adjusted against the product value of your new order; any remaining amount payable must be settled through a standard payment method.

Unless the offer states otherwise, you may redeem cashback for up to [X]% of the order value in a single order, and redeemed cashback does not itself earn further cashback. Cashback cannot be applied to shipping charges, COD fees or gift cards, and cannot be applied to an order after it has been placed.

08 Returns & Reversal

If an order is cancelled, returned or refunded in part or in full, the cashback earned on it is reversed proportionately. If the cashback has already been credited and spent, the reversed amount may be deducted from your future cashback balance or from the refund payable to you.

Where cashback was redeemed on an order that is later returned, the redeemed portion is returned to your cashback balance with its original expiry date, and the remaining amount is refunded to your original payment method. Cashback is never refunded as cash.

09 Use With Other Offers

Unless expressly stated, cashback cannot be combined with other promotional codes, bank offers, festive discounts or loyalty benefits on the same order. Where more than one offer could apply, the more favourable one is applied at our discretion and the other is not carried forward.

Cashback is not applicable on gift cards, clearance or "final sale" items, customised or stitched-to-order pieces, and any category marked as excluded on the offer page.

10 Referral Cashback

Where a referral offer is running, referral cashback is credited only after the referred person's first order has been delivered and its return window has closed. Both the referrer and the referred customer must have valid, separate accounts.

Self-referrals, referrals using the same address, device or payment instrument, and referrals promoted through paid advertising, coupon sites or bulk messaging are not eligible and may lead to reversal of the cashback.

11 Misuse & Fraud

We may withhold, reverse or cancel cashback and suspend an account where we reasonably believe the programme has been abused. This includes creating duplicate accounts, placing and returning orders repeatedly to farm cashback, using automated tools or bots, exploiting a technical or pricing error, refusing COD deliveries habitually, or reselling our products.

Our decision in such cases is final, and we may recover any benefit already used.

12 No Cash Value

Cashback is promotional store credit with no independent monetary value. It is not a deposit, a prepaid instrument, a security or a financial product, it earns no interest, and it creates no debt owed to you by Umang Bazaar. It can be used only to purchase products on umangbazaar.com, subject to these terms.

13 Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to you as a result of receiving or redeeming cashback. Invoices reflect the actual amount charged for the products; cashback credited or redeemed is shown separately as a promotional benefit and does not alter the taxable value of the original order.

14 Changes & Withdrawal

We may modify, suspend or withdraw the cashback programme or any individual campaign at any time, including changing rates, caps, validity periods and eligible products, without prior notice. Cashback already credited to your account will remain usable until its stated expiry unless it was earned in breach of these terms.

The version of these terms in force at the time your order is placed governs the cashback earned on that order.

15 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Umang Bazaar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the cashback programme, including delays or failures caused by technical faults, payment gateways or third-party service providers. Our total liability in relation to cashback shall not exceed the cashback amount in question.

16 Governing Law

These Cashback Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Your City], India.
